The Dragon and The Angel

Holding you in my arms tonight,
With dragon and angel wings we take flight,
Over land and sea we go,
To a place no one else knows

With no one around for miles,
We stare at each other's smiles,
Under the moonlight and the stars
We feel each other's hearts

Together watching the morning sunrise,
The dragon & angel say their goodbyes,
Taking his angel by the hand,
The dragon flies back across the land

Although at times we say goodbye,
Our love will never die,
By the light of the night's new moon,
We will be together again soon

I can feel you in my soul,
You're the piece that makes me whole,
You are always in my heart,
So we are never far apart

Author's Comments: I wrote this poem for my girlfriend. It describes us using our angel and dragon wings to fly to our own special secret place. I later created a picture to go with it.
